Diablo IV Becomes the First Activision Blizzard Game on Xbox Game Pass

Diablo IV is set to become the first Activision Blizzard title to launch on the Xbox Game Pass subscription service.
The game will be available to Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass subscribers starting March 28, 2024.
Its arrival marks one of the final steps in Microsoft’s multi-billion-dollar acquisition of Activision Blizzard.
Since the acquisition process began, many gamers have predicted that a large portion of Activision Blizzard’s game library would eventually make its way onto Game Pass.
Last year, Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer mentioned that Activision Blizzard fans would need to wait until 2024 before major titles—such as the Call of Duty series—would be added to Game Pass.
Instead of Call of Duty, Microsoft chose Diablo IV as the first Activision Blizzard game to debut on Xbox Game Pass.
Even so, many Xbox and Windows PC gamers are welcoming the arrival of one of 2024’s most popular games on Microsoft’s subscription service.
The announcement of Diablo IV on Xbox Game Pass comes alongside another major update: Microsoft is preparing to release four Xbox-exclusive games on PS5 and Nintendo Switch.
Although not yet officially confirmed, the four titles are expected to be Hi-Fi Rush, Pentiment, Grounded, and Sea of Thieves.
Microsoft also stated that Diablo IV is just the beginning. Over the coming months, more Activision Blizzard games are expected to be added to the Xbox Game Pass library.
