Google Drive Adds New Feature: Two-Page PDF View That Feels Like Reading a Book
Google Drive has rolled out a new update for Android, introducing a two-page layout option for viewing PDF files. This enhancement is especially useful for users of foldable smartphones and Android tablets.
The feature allows users to scroll through PDF files in a two-page spread, mimicking the experience of reading a physical book while maximizing larger screen space.
According to a report from 9to5Google on Saturday (Nov 11, 2023), this new Google Drive feature can be enabled by tapping the new two-sheet icon, located between the search bar and the three-dot overflow menu.
With this addition, users can easily switch between single-page mode and the wider two-page view based on their reading preference.
This update creates a more intuitive and comfortable reading experience on larger screens, such as tablets and foldable devices.
Google has also introduced additional improvements for tablet users, including multi-instance support, a navigation rail, and widgets optimized for larger tablet displays.
All these enhancements aim to boost productivity and provide a more seamless experience for Google Workspace users on larger Android devices.
Combined with existing PDF tools—such as drawing and highlighting features—Google Drive is becoming an increasingly powerful productivity platform, especially for tablet users.
